Muscat, Sultanate of Oman – January 5th 2013 – ASIA TODAY - A large number of regional and international delegates from the world’s leading oil companies have been continually registering to participate in the upcoming Middle East Artificial Lift Forum (MEALF) 2013, which is set to take place between February 5th to 7th 2013 at the prestigious Emirates Palace Hotel in the UAE’s capital Abu Dhabi.

With a mission to become the pioneer non-profit platform for artificial lift technologies and knowledge sharing in the Middle East, MEALF has firmly established itself as the highly recognized energy forum and exhibition and continues to witness increased demand for participation due to the central role the technology plays in oil production activities in the Middle East. Expected delegates for MEALF 2013 cover the GCC, North Africa, East Asia, Europe and North America such as the UAE, Egypt, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Sudan, Yemen, China, UK, US, and Canada.

Since the beginning of the delegate registration process in mid –December 2012, more than 100 delegates have registered, and organizers are expecting the total number of delegates to exceed 300. As part of their participation, delegates will attend the 3-pre forum workshops and 21 specialized forum sessions that will be held under the theme ‘Uplifting society’.

Commenting on the ongoing delegate registration process, Saeed Al Shaheen, MEALF’s Chairman stated, “The success of the delegate sales launch which is currently underway is a true testament to the interest and appeal MEALF has in the region and beyond. This year, we are witnessing an increasing number of regional and international energy-related corporations who are actively coming forward to be part of the annual expertise and knowledge sharing forum that aims at addressing and meeting the sector’s future needs with a focus on sustainability.’’

Al Shaheen added, ‘’We expect MEALF 2013 to be an effective platform for the enhancement and growth of the industry as we continue to pursue our mission of effectively encouraging the use of artificial lift technologies across the oil industry through innovative and best practice solutions. This year’s event will also have an extended reach in terms of speakers, presenters, delegates and exhibitors as well as technical and steering committee membership opportunities that transcend the GCC to reach key regions such as North Africa and Yemen.’’

MEALF 2013 is supported by a range of regional and international sponsors including Kuwait Oil Company, Qatar Petroleum, V-Monitor, Schlumberger, Al Khorayef Company, GE Oil & Gas, Weatherford oil Tool ME, Kudu Industries INC and NOV Mono Group.

Speakers at this year’s Forum will hold technical presentations, discussions, case histories and debates on all aspects of the artificial lift sector among new and existing users as well the main challenges facing the industry in the Middle East. Speakers to date represent Kuwait Oil Company, Saudi Aramco, Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), Greater Nile Petroleum Operating Company (GNPOC), Artificial Lift Company, Lufkin Industries, Novomet Group of Companies, Norris Production Solutions, Occidental, ONGC, PCM, Petroenergy – Sudan, RMSpumptools, Schlumberger, Senergy International, Sercel – GRC, Weatherford International and Zenith Oilfield Technology

MEALF is a specialized biennial Forum which focuses on the increasing use of artificial lift technologies in oil production across the Middle East region. MEALF 2013 will also feature a comprehensive exhibition on the sidelines of the forum which showcases the latest products, technologies and related services.

The 7th edition of MEALF will be once again be managed and organized by the Oman-based pioneer and leading exhibitions and conferences organizer; Omanexpo.
