Recently,Mr. Poom Sarapol, Deputy Minister of Commerce, is presided over the official opening ceremony of “BIG + BIH October 2012”, an Ultimate Gifts and Houseware Fair, Shows Design Potential and Readiness of Thai Companies for ASEAN Markets, and is welcomed by Mrs. Srirat Rastapana, Director-General of Department of International Trade Promotion, at Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC).
BIG + BIH October 2012 is an ultimate lifestyles fair that shows Thailand potential as the design center in the Region under the concept of “Heart of Design & Lifestyle Showcase of ASEAN”, which top lifestyle products from more than 600 leading companies are displayed including home decorations and handicrafts, artificial flowers and household utensils.
Besides, there are also Design Hall, a zone showing design products by new generation designers, and International Pavilion, where products around the world are displayed, as well as the Project Creating Lifestyle Products Designers to World Markets, or the Talent Thai Project, which gives an opportunity for new designers to introduce their works by displaying their creative designs to visitors. In addition, the fair also stimulates the production sector to push for effective development to support the ASEAN Economic Community or AEC in 2015.
The BIG + BIH October 2012 is held during 16th -21st October 2012. Business Days are during 16th -19th October from 10.00-18.00 hours, while Retail days are during 20th – 21st October from 10.00-21.00 hours at Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre.
