Starting 2nd November, Mishal Husain Meets… returns for a second series, with guests ranging from a Malaysian celebrity chef and an award-winning Chinese actress to the only woman to run an F1 team.
Filmed at the NYU Tisch School of The Arts in Singapore, the series is fronted by Mishal Husain, one of BBC World News’ most prominent presenters and reporters.
In addition to presenting 'Impact' on BBC World News, Mishal is also known in the UK as a presenter of news bulletins on BBC1 and Newsnight on BBC2. She had a key role in this year's coverage of the London Olympics and has presented live on location around the world on some of the most hard hitting news stories, including the death of Osama Bin Laden in Pakistan, the Egyptian revolution, and the assassination of Benazir Bhutto. Mishal’s documentaries for the BBC include 2011’s critically acclaimed 'How Facebook Changed the World - The Arab Spring', which explored the impact of social media on the Arab Uprising.
Mishal says: “This series allows me the space to have a more reflective conversation than in my work on the news, and each of the guests in this series brought something unique with them. From Zhang Jingchu's dedication to her art, to Chef Wan's joie de vivre and Monisha Kaltenborn's determination that more women should follow in her footsteps - I hope viewers enjoy watching these programmes as much as I enjoyed making them.”
