Last Call for TILS 2013 - The Biggest Lighting Show in Taiwan

The 4th Taiwan International Lighting Show will open at the Taipei World Trade Center Exhibition Hall 1 starting from March 26th to 29th of 2013. The show is hosted by the Bureau of Foreign Trade, MOEA and co-organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and the Taiwan Lighting Fixture Export Association.

Over 333 lighting manufacturers including ER Optipower Technology Corp., Ltd., Edison Opto Corp., Jan Cheng Lighting Corp.,Ltd., Delta Electronics, Inc., Everlight Electronics Corp., Ltd., and Epistar Corp. will participate and set up a total of 786 booths. The renewal rate is over 60%, which shows the positive outlook of the lighting industry and proves how the Taiwan International Lighting Show has become a major annual event for both domestic and international lighting businesses.

This year, Taiwan’s representative LED lighting firms are almost all present. All of the vendors are well-prepared, for example the “Induction Light” exhibited by Epoch Chemtronics, which is 100% recyclable and 80% energy saving, and the “Flood Lighting” from Lvd Int’l Light & Energy Corp., which boasts the 10 advantages of LVD Induction Lamp including a long life and the absence of mercury. There will also be a series of seminars held outside of the exhibition, including the CIE-Taiwan Annual Meeting and Seminar (March 28th)and the Cross-strait LED Lighting and Technology Standard Development Forum (March29th).

This exhibition is expected to attract over 1,300 global buyers to Taiwan, including TRILUX from Germany, Jardine Engineering from Thailand, KANLUX S.R.O., from Kuwait and PXF Lighting Jacek Bieniak from Poland, which specializes in high-tech and architectural lighting solutions. They will come to Taiwan to procure products such as LED application lighting products and components. TAITRA will arrange more than 130 sourcing conferences for 15 important foreign buyers, in the hope of leading to more business opportunities.

Highlight 1: 10 innovative products selected!
The organizers have set up an “Innovation Product Pavilion”within the exhibition to provide vendors with a platform to showcase innovative products. The 10 selected products include: Top Energy Saving System Corp.’s12W recyclable and disposable LED bulb, the LED down light-Ultra Slim Series developed by Epoch Chemtronics,Delta Electronics’ A6DF LED Omni bulb, Iaimao Corp.’s LED work light, Edison Opto Corp.’s 12W HR TD32, BJB Electric Taiwan’s BJB LED light engine, Anteya Technology’s iDimmer, Avertronics’ Ethernet Wireless Energy Saving Scenes Control Networking Gateway, Tons Lightology’s DW-409R Recessed Ceiling Luminaires, and Everlight’s SL-Victory Street light. These products were all selected according to the strictest standards and received the approval of numerous experts and scholars. We hope you can visit and experience these products for yourself, it is guaranteed to be an eye opening experience!

Highlight 2: The LED lighting innovative application pavilion shows unlimited creativity in lighting!
This year, not only is there an “Innovation Product Pavilion”,there is also a special “LED Lighting Innovative Application Pavilion” that mainly highlights lamp furniture and paper-cut lanterns from students at MingChi University , and a concept design for a natural light illumination system applied to underground parking by students from National Taiwan University. All of the products are useful and creative, and turn this area into one of the highlights of the pavilion. In addition, at the entrance of the pavilion is an interactive mirror zone where a TILS image and result will be shown on a screen when visitors wave their hands in the interactive zone after entry, fully displaying the fantasy and creativity of lights!

Highlight 3: The 2013 tSSL will be combined with this exhibition for the first time
With guidance from the Department of Industrial Technology at the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Industrial Technology Research Institute and the Association of Opto Semiconductors are hosting the 7th Taiwan Solid State Lighting (2013 tSSL) which will be held during the exhibition period, from March 26th to 27th. This symposium will focus on discussing LED lighting technology and product applications, and will invite famous experts from the U.S., the U.K., Japan, and South Korea to give keynote speeches. Major international companies including Philips, Osram, Aixtron, and UL Lighting Science will also share new industry information regarding the improvement of LED lighting quality and the formulation of standards for smart lighting systems. Nearly 20 speeches will be delivered, and they should not be missed!

Highlight 4: Easy-to-read LED bulbs labels launched to improve domestic LED bulb quality
The opening ceremony on March 26th will have a commencement ceremony for “Readable LED Bulb Labels” hosted by the Taiwan Optoelectronic Semiconductor Industry Association. There are sometimes unclear or even false labeling on the LED bulbs currently on the market. However, the purpose of the labels is to clearly express the functions of the LED bulbs to consumers and educate consumers on what to pay attention to when making purchases, in order to improve LED bulb quality domestically.
