HONG KONG, CHINA - ASIA TODAY / Media OutReach - 4 March, 2014 - Today the South China Morning Post (HKSE: 0583) launched the 2014 edition of 100 Top Tables -- a CEO's Dining Guide, the definitive guide to the best restaurants in Hong Kong and Macau.

As the fabled gastronomical capital of the East, Hong Kong has traditionally enjoyed the evergreen confluence of culinary delights, regardless of the season. For CEOs and business leaders, Hong Kong certainly offers an abundance of choice. Understanding the importance of refined dining for the city's top executives, SCMP launched 100 Top Tables 2014, Hong Kong's leading editorially independent, high-end dining guide for the discerning -- crafted from a local insider's view.

Our 2014 edition, to be published on 6 March, awards 100 top restaurants in Hong Kong and 20 in Macau nominated by an expert panel of SCMP restaurant critics and lifestyle experts who have been passionately exploring restaurants new and old. The aim of which, is to introduce a rich, diversified and unique dining experience with local culinary flair to the City's top executives. The new issue features 27 new entrants to the Hong Kong shortlist, and 10 joining the ranks in the Macau shortlist, serving up a delightful platter of dining options to those who will never settle for less.

"To be included in 100 Top Tables is no small feat. One has to meet stringent standards of culinary excellence - whether it is from the back of the house in terms of technique, flair, or the quality of ingredients chosen, to the front of house in terms of ambiance, consistency of service and dining experience", noted Winnie Chung, SCMP's Editorial Director, Specialist Publications of Advertising & Marketing Solutions.

"Covering a global-trotter's delight of cuisines - from Cantonese and Chinese regional fair, to French, Italian, Japanese and other European and fusion selections, 100 Top Tables 2014 truly reflects Hong Kong as the gastronomical paradise that it is", continued Ms. Chung.

"Judging from the enthusiastic comments and compliments I have received from my peers and readers from the 2014 and 2013 inaugural edition, it gives me much confidence that 100 Top Tables has arrived, and is equally established as a genuine CEO's Dining Guide", remarked Ms. Carrie Law, General Manager, Advertising & Marketing Solutions of SCMP.

"To be shortlisted is truly monumental, as only the most elite culinary masters would make it. I sincerely congratulate all the restaurants selected, as they are the crème de la crème in this already fiercely competitive arena", said Ms. Law.

Each of the selected restaurants were commended with a certificate of recognition for their exceptional offering and service at a privately held awards presentation ceremony organized by the South China Morning Post.

100 Top Tables 2014 will be distributed directly to SCMP subscribers as well as through select retail outlets, airport lounges in Asia, airport stores and Pacific Coffee outlets.
