Manila, Philippines - (ACN Newswire) - The Asian Forum on Corporate Social Responsibility (AFCSR), the largest annual conference on corporate social responsibility (CSR) in Asia-Pacific, is set on September 2-3, 2014 at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel, Makati City, Philippines. This year's theme, "Building Resilient Communities: How Business, Government and Social Enterprises Can Work Together", underscores the importance of mitigating risks, rebuilding from devastation, forming partnerships, and ensuring good governance to sustain economic gains among communities across the region.
This year's AFCSR is co-convened by the Asian Institute of Management - Ramon V. del Rosario, Sr. Center for Corporate Social Responsibility (AIM-RVR CSR Center) and the Asia Inc. Forum (AIF). The conference is expected to gather 500 participants from 30 countries across the globe.

This year's AFCSR is composed of 17 sessions. Among the key discussion topics are: the requirements of building resilient communities; innovative approaches to building resilient communities; lessons learned from rebuilding from devastation; partnerships for building resilient communities; embedding and sustaining corporate citizenship; and national resilience and good governance.
