UNITED ARAB EMIRATES, 29 September 2014 - Abu Dhabi Oil Refining Company Takreer will present at Euro Petroleum Consultants’ [EPC] upcoming event ‘BBTC MENA – Bottom of the Barrel Technology Conference’ in Abu Dhabi on 9 and 10 December 2014.
BBTC MENA is focused on the topic of residue upgrading as it becomes increasingly recognised as the key solution to the pressing challenge of meeting the growing market for cleaner fuels, the gradual substitution to heavier feedstock and the decreasing demand for heavy oil.
Andy Gibbins, EPC’s Vice President Middle East, explains why BBTC MENA is the single most important event for the resid-upgrading community saying “In a market where competitive advantage is crucial, refiners need residue conversion solutions that use proven technologies to maximise conversion to distillates. This is the only event where such a detailed overview of best available technologies can be obtained”.
The BBTC MENA Conference and Exhibition will be focused on technologies, project trends and equipment innovations. Foster Wheeler, one of the sponsors of BBTC MENA, describes its involvement in the event stating, “Our presentations will focus on sharing and discussing developed concepts, options, and innovative technology combinations for upgrading residues with the help of proven case studies and outlined benefits.”
Key conference topics include:
• Global & regional markets overview
• Selecting the optimum resid upgrading configuration
• Thermal and gasification
• Hydroprocessing
• RFCC – technologies & catalysts
• Hydrogean & sulphur management
Other companies participating in BBTC MENA include Criterion, GRACE, CB&I, Ivanhoe Energy, Axens, Foster Wheeler, Grace, ART, Chevron Lummus Global, CB&I, Criterion Catalysts, Shell Global Solutions, UOP, KBR Technology, Flowserve, Daily Thermetrics, Air Products, Nexant, Albemarle and Engineers India.
