Hello Kitty celebrates its 40th Birthday with a run and a beach party

Singapore, 1 November - ASIATODAY.COM - The world’s most famous feline character, Hello Kitty, celebrated her 40th birthday this morning with 17,000 race participants at the inaugural Hello Kitty Run Singapore held in Sentosa.

Hello Kitty’s mega 40th birthday surprise comprised a bouquet of flowers presented by Dear Daniel, a 33 inch cupcake and a birthday song sung to her by all 17,000 race participants.

The run was then flagged off by Hello Kitty and Dear Daniel at 8am.

The Hello Kitty Beach Party post race was filled with a flurry of activities: a live band performance by Shili and Adi, a fashion show featuring Hello Kitty themed apparels, sand-castle building.
