Showcasing Solutions to Integrate Information, Control, Power, and Safety for Optimised Oil and Gas Operations
Rockwell Automation, the world’s largest company dedicated to industrial automation and information, announced it will be participating again in Offshore SEA2014 (OSEA2014), the region’s most well-attended Oil and Gas exhibition and conference, held from 2 – 5 December at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.
The biennial tradeshow has served the offshore Oil and Gas market and its supporting industries since 1976. Rockwell Automation will be exhibiting its Integrated Information, Control, Power and Safety (ICPS) solutions, alongside PlantPAx™ process-automation systems – demonstrating how Oil and Gas operators can maximise their assets, whilst reducing operational costs. The ICPS Solutions displayed will showcase how operators can boost productivity, minimise total cost of ownership and lifecycle expenses, and increase safety.
In addition, Paul Gruhn, Global Process Safety Consultant at Rockwell Automation, will speak as a panelist at the conference’s Technology Power Panel: ‘Developing the Next Wave Technologies for Unconventional and Deepwaters’, held on 3 December. An International Society of Automation (ISA) Fellow with numerous years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry, Gruhn will share his insights on the many benefits and challenges of moving production to the seabed, when traditional offshore platforms can no longer meet deep-water energy demands.
“Rockwell Automation has helped companies in the Oil and Gas industry for more than 50 years, delivering applications across the entire supply chain,” said Jae Kyu Kim, Oil and Gas Manager, Southeast Asia, Rockwell Automation. “OSEA2014 will serve as an excellent platform to showcase our leadership in ICPS solutions, catering especially to the upstream-offshore segment of the supply chain – enabling Oil and Gas companies to capitalise on industry trends, whilst overcoming key challenges.”
Bob Buttermore, Regional Director, Southeast Asia, added, “Every major petroleum company uses Rockwell Automation solutions, in addition to thousands of companies servicing the industry from an integrator, OEM, and EPC perspective. Rockwell Automation continues to expand its domain expertise and has acquired a number of industry leaders including ProsCon, ICS Triplex, Pavilion Technologies, Hinz and, most recently, vMonitor.”
