Beijing International Building Technology conference 2015 concluded with acclaim

The Beijing International Building Technology conference successfully concluded its 2015 edition on 13 May at the Rosedale Hotel & Suites in Beijing. The half-day intensive conference was focused on the theme of “China Green Building and Energy-Saving Technology”, and gathered prestigious speakers from government authorities, industry organisations, institutes and corporations under one roof. Industry hot-button topics such as green building policies, cutting edge lighting design as well as HVAC technology were discussed during the event and well-received by more than 100 attendees from different sectors.

First-time speaker, Mr Yuan Ling, Deputy Head of Ecological Planning and Green Architecture Department, Architectural Design and Research Institute of Tsinghua University Co Ltd, shared insights on green housing design under China’s new urbanisation drive. He expressed: “The conference served as an excellent platform for intellectual exchange. I had the chance to network with industry elites, and I really appreciated this invaluable opportunity provided by the organiser. During the sharing, the interaction with the audience was good and overall I think the conference was successful.”

Another speaker, Mr Li Lian Zhong, Senior Consultant from Danfoss Automatic Controls Management (Shanghai) Co Ltd, shared the same sentiments. He commented: “Intelligent technologies is the key developing trend for the HVAC industry, where control systems are designed to be more focused on the integration of information collection, management and control. This conference is so crucial as it provides guidance and facilitates the development of the industry. It was indeed an eye-opening experience, and I am sure the attendees have obtained invaluable and practical information from the event.”

Mr Li Chuan Jun, Designer from Visual Art Centre, Academy of Arts and Design of Tsinghua University attended the conference. He shared: “This was my first time attending and I was particularly interested in the topic related to green housing design under China’s new urbanisation drive. As a designer responsible for landscape, garden and interior design, I noticed the great market potential of green buildings. And I was happy to be here and share my thoughts with experts and industry peers. Overall, I think the event is beneficial and I look forward to the next edition.”

Beijing International Building Technology is the sister show of Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology and Shanghai Intelligent Building Technology.

The fair is organised by Guangzhou Guangya Messe Frankfurt Co Ltd, and is a part of Messe Frankfurt’s building and energy shows, headed by the biennial Light + Building event in Frankfurt, Germany which will take place from 13 – 18 March 2016. The show also follows a series of light and building technology events worldwide, including:
