China’s leading trade fair for the mid-range and high-end household products and accessories market opens this Thursday in Shanghai. Interior Lifestyle China will feature 378 exhibitors from 14 countries & regions – a 61 percent increase on 2014 – including 112 suppliers from overseas. The 2015 edition will be the largest in the fair’s history in terms of exhibitors, offering buyers more sourcing options than ever on 20,000 sqm (gross). This increase comes about mainly from a number of exhibitors sharing booths this year. What will also increase the range of purchasing opportunities for buyers are the new On Design Shanghai – Interior Lifestyle China “Beyond Architecture” exhibition and Theme Area by Elle Deco, which feature a number of brands and designers showcasing at the fair for the first time. Taking place from 17 – 19 September at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, the fair includes a wide range of home and lifestyle products in three main categories: dining, giving and living.

In addition to the products on offer, the fair’s fringe programme provides participants the opportunity to discover the latest trends and market information. A special highlight this year is the new Theme Area by Elle Deco – "Sense of Life" which displays household products in terms of the sensory experiences they evoke in consumers, and involves the support of Sennheiser as a special partner. Another new feature of the fringe programme, and organised in conjunction with the Shanghai Promotion Center for City of Design, is the On Design Shanghai – Interior Lifestyle China “Beyond Architecture” exhibition. It features displays from 30 well-known local designers, artists and architects, allowing them to showcase their work in an international product environment. And returning again is the Home Style Award, which this year partners with world-renowned design agency iF International Forum Design in order to increase the outreach of this award, as well as bring different perspectives through the international jury which is represented by five nationalities including Austria, China, Germany, Japan and Taiwan.
