Shanghai International Lighting Fair 2015 just around the corner
Event programme highlights new designs, technologies and market channels for lighting
The opening of the Shanghai International Lighting Fair 2015, organised by Guangzhou Guanya Messe Frankfurt Co Ltd, is fast approaching. Running from 23 – 25 September, the fair has registered 298 exhibitors to showcase diverse offerings across 13,000 sqm of the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. This year’s show will highlight project-based business opportunities and smart lighting solutions through a comprehensive display of lighting applications.
Ms Lucia Wong, Deputy General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Ltd, remarked: “Ambitious multimillion-dollar projects are underway throughout China that are generating, what seems to be, a bottomless basket of business opportunities for the lighting industry. More specifically, the demand for lighting projects in both Central and Eastern China is sizeable. Given this development, we believe the Shanghai International Lighting Fair’s mission to assist the lighting community with capturing new business opportunities will resonate with industry professionals. The show is a comprehensive trade platform that not only provides lighting solutions but also unveils innovative product developments as well as current design trends for the industrial, residential and commercial lighting sectors.”
Greater product diversity and synergy of concurrent fairs to cultivate project-based opportunities
Helping to further boost project-based business opportunities is the fair’s strong product diversity ranging from lighting applications and accessories to LED technologies. It is no surprise that project-based buyers such as designers, planners, system integrators, engineers and builders regard the fair as a one-stop sourcing platform.
Products to be on offer cover various types of lighting for commercial, residential, architectural, street, sports arena, tunnel and electrical use, as well as lighting accessories, LED components, LED controls and IC drivers. Renowned brands confirmed to exhibit include Aishi, EASEIC, FSL, Fulham, Geosheen, HEM Lighting, HPWINNER, Meanwell, Meka, Nationstar, OML Lighting, Raynice, Romney, Sozn, Sunpuled, Woojong and many others.
The fair will be held concurrently with four other regional technical events, including ISH Shanghai & CIHE, Shanghai Intelligent Building Technology, Shanghai Smart Home Technology, and Building Solar China. Collectively, the fairs form the “Intelligent Green Building – IGB” exhibition platform which provides total solutions for the building efficiency, sustainable development, and intelligent and green building industries. In total, the events will occupy over 40,000 sqm of exhibition space and create synergistic results for a diverse group of project-based buyers. As such, lighting manufacturers are expected to build strategic partnerships with intelligent building manufacturers and explore the possibilities of technology integration.
