Muscat, Oman, 1 December 2012 –The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) Ministry of Commerce, Government of Pakistan is presenting leading brands from the food and hospitality industries collectively as a pavilion in the upcoming Food & Hotel Oman 2012. The 7th international exhibition of food & beverage, food processing technology, kitchen & catering equipment, packaging systems, hotel supplies and related services, organized by pioneer and leading exhibitions and conferences organiser Omanexpo, will be staged from December 3 to 5 at the Oman International Exhibition Centre.
TDAP will bring in various principal well-known international companies such as Shan Foods, Matco Rice Processing, Naurus Pvt Ltd, Khan Rice Mills, Emirates Food Industries, Reem Rice Mills Pvt Ltd, Qasim Younas Intl Pvt Ltd, Faisal Fabrics Ltd and Khalid Rice Mills with the objective of establishing ties for future brand partnership as well as play a significant role in boosting Oman-Pakistan bilateral trade activities.
Adil Qayyum, CEO of SME Promotions Pvt Ltd and Omanexpo representative for the Pakistan market said “The Sultanate of Oman and Pakistan presently have good relations. The current trade in the non-oil sectors between both the countries is already lucrative. The needs are to promote such events that would allow trade diversification. Apart from the oil and gas sector, it is high time to inject such positive techniques in order to achieve the exports target.”
He also said that the purpose of the Pakistan Pavilion is to strengthen the image of the country, which could possibly take a step forward to obtain a progressive response in the food and hospitality industries. He said that “this could also allow the Omani importers to establish strong partnerships with us.”
Food & Hotel Oman will also feature the Singapore and Italy pavilions and companies from Germany, India, Iran, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Oman, Sri Lanka, Syria, Turkey and the UAE. This year’s event will also give emphasis to Omani products and services in support of the government’s Origin Oman campaign. It will also feature interesting culinary activities by Oman Chef’s Guild, a professional organization composed of chefs from major hotels and other segments of Oman’s hospitality industry.
Food & Hotel Oman is the only food and hospitality show in Oman and internationally certified by UFI-The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry.
