The entire Feria de Madrid, more than 200,000 square metres, will be completely dedicated to this event. Sub-events include the 7thCPHI Pre-Connect Congress on the 12th, which will be attended by senior representatives of the world pharmaceutical industry

On Monday 13 October the leading international pharmaceutical fair will come to Madrid, bringing together until the 15th 2,500 companies and more than 36,000 professionals from 153 countries. This is the fourth time Madrid has been selected to host the event, one of the most influential and international held in Spain, and which is traditionally hosted by IFEMA-Feria de Madrid.

With 98% of the attendees being foreign, Cphi Worldwide will bring more than 150 million euros to Madrid over the three days, representing a significant injection into the services sector and fully booked hotels, which will also host presentations and events.

The International Fair for Pharmaceutical Ingredients, CPHI Worldwide, is the most important event in the chemical and pharmaceutical world. It is held once a year at different locations around the world and this year Madrid is once again the city of choice. The 2015 edition will take place from 13 to 15 October, for which CPHI has once again chosen IFEMA's facilities to host the event, which will comprise a total of 20 different areas covering the entire range of products offered by 2,500 exhibitor companies from all over the world. After the last experience in Madrid in 2012, the fair is expected to have a significant impact on the city owing to the influx of over 36,000 professionals from 153 countries.

With 98% of the attendees being foreign with high spending power, Cphi Worldwide, one of the most notable commercial events in Spain, will bring more than 150 million euros to Madrid over the three days, representing an important injection into the services sector and fully booked hotels, which will also host presentations and events.

The fair, which is held each year in different cities, will be divided up into 20 areas that will each be devoted to different themes, such as excipients, finished dosage forms, contract services, packaging and machinery. It will thus be revealing the latest trends shown by a global industry that is constantly evolving, as presented by the most prestigious pharmaceutical firms in the world. The fair will also bring together suppliers from the major pharmaceutical markets, such as China, India and the USA, as well as the emerging markets of Turkey, Russia and Malaysia.

One day before the event begins, on Monday 12 October IFEMA will be hosting the seventh edition of the CPHI Pre-Connect Congress, which has become a meeting point for the pharmaceutical industry worldwide. The Congress will attract top representatives and key agents from every sector in the industry.

Worthy of special mention in this edition is the Pharma Forum, a sort of content village for disseminating the event's content. For the first time in 25 years, there will be an area dedicated exclusively to content and knowledge exchange. This new area will house a number of activities, including informative meetings, three Innovation Galleries (CPHI, CISE and Innopack) showcasing the latest products brought by exhibitors, and additional commercial explorations (non-pharma), with special focus on the top five positions in terms of sustainability during this year's edition.

Therefore, this huge international event organised by UBM EMEA, will constitute a platform on which to reveal the latest breakthroughs and novelties within the field of drug research and marketing. There will be sessions and seminars on animal health, biopharmaceuticals and natural extracts, as well as informative meetings on emerging markets in this business sector.

Due to its organisational capacity and the suitability of its exhibition space, IFEMA has been selected by CPhi Worldwide to host this event in Madrid for the fourth time. Frankfurt, Paris and Madrid take turns to host the event.
