"According to World Health Organization: 1.1 billion people are at risk of hearing loss"

Dubai – United Arab Emirates, 13th of October, 2015: Following the major success of the first two editions, Dubai Otology, Neurotology & Skull Base Surgery Conference & Exhibition returns in its 3rd iteration to attract a large number of otologists, neurotologists, ENT physicians, doctors, surgeons, and specialists in this field. Held under the patronage of H.E. Abdul Rahman Al Owais, Minister of Health in the UAE, Dubai Otology 2015 is slated to run from October 21 to 23, 2015 at the Mohammed Bin Rashid Academic Medical Center in Dubai Healthcare City, Dubai – United Arab Emirates.

Organized annually, Dubai Otology is the ideal platform for local and international notable speakers to network with one another, discuss and understand the latest advances in this highly specialized field. The event features a three-day conference addressing the major issues in otology, neurotology & skull base surgery such as auditory brainstem implant, cochlear implant, implantable hearing aids, cholesteatoma, mastoidectomy, ossiculoplasty, and stapes surgery.

Recent years have witnessed great developments in the field of otology, specially that according to the World Health Organization, 1.1 billion people are at risk of hearing loss due to the unsafe use of personal audio devices, including smartphones, and exposure to damaging levels of sound. Thankfully, half of all cases of hearing loss can be prevented through primary prevention. Dubai Otology provides the ideal platform to update otology stakeholders on the new trends and latest technologies that can enhance the early hearing loss detection and intervention.

One of the main attractions of the conference this year will be the Advance Vestibular Workshop, held for the first time in parallel to Dubai Otology conference, giving the participants a great opportunity to have Hands-On training that covers pressing topics like: Vertigo Management, Video Nystagmography, and Bithermal Calorics. The conference will also feature novel researches of ENT Doctors, practitioners, residents and students from different parts of the world through on oral free paper presentation.

It is worth mentioning that the conference offers its participants and attendees the chance to earn more than 30 CME Credit Hours, accredited by the Ministry of Health, UAE. While it helps to improve doctors’ practice and care of patients, accredited Continuing Medical Education (CME) is also necessary to renew physician’s professional licenses in the UAE.

Running alongside the conference, the three-day exhibition will present an unprecedented opportunity for international and regional suppliers, distributors and manufacturers to network and establish new business with the Middle East's leading experts in the field of otology, neurotology & skull base surgery.
This year, Dubai Otology Conference & Exhibition will host more than 40 companies promoting the most up-to-date equipment, tools, and products. In addition, it witnesses the participation of over 50 prominent speakers, ENT specialists, surgeons, otolaryngologists, otologists, neurologists, audiologists, trainees, nurses and students from 30 countries.

Dubai Otology is considered the only specialized Otology, Neurotology, and Skull Base Surgery Event in the Middle East and North Africa Region. It is organized annually by INDEX Conferences and Exhibitions, a member of INDEX Holding, and in cooperation with the UAE Ministry of Health and the Arab Academy of Otology & Cochlear Implant – AOOCI.
