Back for the 3rd edition, furniPRO Asia, the regional trade exhibition for the woodworking, furniture and panel production industries, will be held from 10 to 12 March 2016 at the Singapore Expo Convention and Exhibition Centre. Organized by Koelnmesse Pte Ltd, the biennial event promises to bring together top names in the furniture industry.
New features and segments at this year’s edition
This is the very first time the event is brought forward to the early quarter of the year, to be held in conjunction with the International Furniture Fair Singapore (IFFS) and The Décor Show, and to be a part of the ASEAN furniture exhibition circuit and Singapore Design Week. This brings about a strong collective offering to the industry – with exhibits ranging from woodworking and primary processing technologies, to finished furniture and interior products – all in one location.
Premiering out of interzum Cologne, the Innovation of Interior will be at furniPRO Asia 2016 for the very first time. The Innovation of Interior is a special exhibition showcase for architects, interior designers, industrial designers and other planners with a unique, future-orientated range of products, to showcase innovative ideas and design options. Specially curated by renowned materials expert Dr. Sascha Peters, the special showcase will highlight the potential of 3D printing for furniture designers, interior designers and architects, bringing them delight for the mind and an inspiration for creativity. As a joint initiative with the Innovation of Interior, guided tours and seminars will be held over the 3 days, offering networking and business opportunities between companies and institutions. A key program at the Innovation of Interior would be the live demonstrations of the BigRep One 3D printer.
In addition, an ASEAN Exporters Pavilion; a dedicated trading platform for the licensed ASEAN importers and exporters of semi-finished wood products, will be launched at furniPRO Asia 2016 to help businesses capitalize on trade opportunities available in the region. Exhibitors include notable names in the Materials & Nature, Function & Components, and Textile & Covers sectors.
The event is expecting some 200 exhibiting companies and brands from 32 countries from Europe, USA and Asia. The leading brands include Altendorf, Berndorf Band, Biesse, Dieffenbacher, French Timber, IMA, Krono System, Lignar, Michael Wenig, Renolit, Schelling, SCM, Siempelkamp, Sterling Lam, Surteco, Taiwan Woodworking Machinery Association and many others.
