Presidents of the Asia Group and Great China Show Their Support to the Partners in Taiwan
Taipei, Taiwan -- December 5th 2012 -- Over 20 years of development in the Taiwan market, the global leader in motion and control technology, Parker Hannifin (NYSE code: PH), held a grand opening of its new office in the Wugu District, New Taipei City, today. Its partners in distribution and representatives from the industrial associations were invited to witness this special moment. With this new beginning, Parker strives to create another peak with its distribution partners in Taiwan through continuous innovative R&D, improvement in quality, and upgrade in services.
For this monumental day, Mr. Kurt Keller, President of Asia Pacific Group, and Mr. Steven Ong, President of Great China, jointly hosted this event and invited over 120 distribution partners and representatives from industrial associations to witness this special moment.
“In 2005, we began implementing Winovation as our stage gate process to strategically manage new product portfolios; align product development with market and customer needs; and establish a rigorous methodology to facilitate focused innovation projects. This has brought us total sales of US$1.6 billion in new products for 2011,” said Mr. Kurt Keller, Parker’s President of Asia Pacific. “We believe projects that represent true ‘new to the market’ and ‘new to the world’ opportunities will deliver significant value to the Taiwan market.”
“Industrial upgrade must align with the direction of improving quality to the world standards and creating global competitiveness, as well as developing innovative technologies that will lead the company into the future of market development,” emphasized Mr. Steven Ong, President of Great China. “As the global leader in motion and control technology manufacturing, Parker’s products and solutions are found in almost every field of industry, life sciences, and energy, and the technologies are sufficient to support low-cost and high-efficiency industrial upgrade of Taiwan’s businesses for enhanced global competitiveness.”
“Today, on this significant day, I would like to extend my thanks to all our distribution partners in Taiwan. Since 1945, Parker has been successful in the development of global markets and a customer base. We have decades of faithful partnerships,” said Mr. Eric Chou, Sale Director of Parker Taiwan. “Our partners in Taiwan have been giving us great support since our first office in Taiwan was founded in 1992, even though the harsh trials of the global financial crisis in 2008. In 2012, we still scored a double-digit compound annual growth rate. We have maintained brilliant performance and stable growth through all these years. I would like to thank our partners in Taiwan again. We believe, under the strong support from the headquarters, Parker Taiwan will achieve better performance with our partners year after year.”
For over 20 years in the development of the Taiwan market, Parker has witnessed the takeoff and continuous growth of Taiwan’s economy. Components and applications developed by Parker are seen in key industries in Taiwan, like the breaking system in the Taipei MRT, breaking and machinery testing system of the Taiwan HSR, nuclear grade ASME fittings and N stamp-valve, slurry valves for the world-class semiconductor foundry, and basic oil div for a key petrochemical plant in Taiwan. “As long as there is a need in the Taiwan market, Parker will provide satisfactory technology and services, but more importantly, Parker is willing to develop new technologies with our clients for true customized solutions,” expressed Mr. Eric Chou with confidence.
