Reserve 5-8 April in your calendar for Nordbygg at Stockholmsmässan. Over 800 exhibitors from 30 countries will be there. Equality, the latest architecture and materials - not to mention developments in energy efficiency are hot issues at northern Europe's biggest trade fair for the construction, building services installations and real estate industries.
Many leading Swedish companies in the construction sector are active proponents of equality. Some of them will be putting words into action at Nordbygg 2016.
Women only on the stand
Cramo is a company that works to create equality in the workplace. They employ more women than the national average for the building site in general, and want to make that proportion even bigger.
“We want to recruit more women because - quite frankly - at the depots where we have both men and women employed, women are the most efficient,” says Ingrid Hollertz, HR Manager at Cramo.
On Wednesday during Nordbygg, women only will be working on the Cramos stand, to highlight the company's belief that this is an important issue.
Architecture Day, 8 April
Don’t miss out Friday - Architecture Day. The lively architecture industry in Switzerland is this year’s theme. Some of the leading Swiss architects will be taking part, with presentations of their practices. The programme is arranged by Arkitektur magazine in consultation with the Swiss Trade Council in Stockholm.
Material library – daily presentations
Gain new inspiration every day during Nordbygg with presentations on materials for architecture and construction. The Material Library also contains over 2,500 material samples. Some of the presentations will be in English.
Energy-efficiency and renovation
Renovera Energismart is a project that has run over many years at Nordbygg, and involving some of the biggest companies and trade organisations in Sweden. Benefit from the latest findings within energy-efficiency for property in conjunction with renovation.
Installations of the future
Installations are more important than ever, and the installation industry is more complex than ever! That means that we need to be a lot better at interdisciplinary working. And that’s what is reflected in the programme we have to offer on Installation Day at Nordbygg.
