In the latest Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings by Subject 2016, HKIEd has emerged 2nd in Asia and 12th in the world in Education, breaking our last year’s record of placing 3rd in Asia and 15th in the world.
The QS World University Rankings compare the performance of top universities in areas covering academic research, teaching, employability and international outlook in the previous year. The consistent strong showing of the Institute in the QS Rankings, in tandem with the progress in our university title pursuit, points to the future development of The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) that we are soon to become. As a unique institution with a focus on education among the eight publicly funded universities, EdUHK will seek to thrive as the recognised leader in teaching and learning, research and knowledge transfer with an emphasis on education and related disciplines.
The Institute’s encouraging results in the QS Rankings for two consecutive years testify to our continuous efforts in achieving education excellence and our increasingly prominent role as the leader and pioneer of education in Hong Kong and beyond.
