Ho Yuen-kei (China Studies, Year 2) won a gold medal in the BC3 Individual event of the Fazaa World Open Boccia Competition – Dubai 2016.

Through her participation in many international competitions, Yuen-kei has accumulated comprehensive experience and sharpened her skills, giving her the confidence to believe that she would make it to the top three of the event. With the encouragement and support from her coach and teammates, she realised her incredible potential which helped her clinch the championship title.

With the Paralympic Games being held this September in Brazil, Yuen-kei, as a member of the Hong Kong Team, has been devoting herself to intensive training and feels she cannot slack even after winning such a big event. She is looking forward to the training camp which will take place this summer as her coach has invited a number of athletes from different countries and cities to join the training camp so that team members can know more about different strategies of the game and enhance their competition
