A Must-Attend Event for Cross-Platform Discussions on Energy & Technology in Asia

Bangkok --(ASIA TODAY)-- SETA 2017 (Sustainable Energy and Technology Asia 2017) is scheduled for 8-10 March 2017 at the BITEC Bang Na, Bangkok, Thailand. SETA 2017 aims at bringing together energy policy planners, energy regulators, researchers, scientists, engineers, economists, operators, manufacturers, industry, scholars, etc., to exchange and share their researches, development and experiences towards the uses of Low Carbon Energy Resources.

Dr.Tatchai Sumitra, Chairman of the Organising Committee, said "The 2016 Event showed us how energy resources are important to our existence in the modern World. Experts from all continents agreed that going towards the low carbon energy resources is the top priority to combat the Global Climate Change. The Conference and Exhibition will be an ideal platform for participants to share views and experiences as well as to discuss on practical approach to sustainable uses of energy, not only in the Region but in the World. "

The theme "Towards a Low-Carbon Society" derives from SETA 2016 since experts from almost all continents seemed to agree that we have no choice but to go towards a low-carbon economy in order to mitigate the global climate change and to enhance the quality of life at the same time.

The topics of 2017 conference will cover the whole spectrum of low-carbon economy and will have four sub-themes as follows

  • Sustainable Energy Policy and Planning
  • Low-Carbon Electricity Generation
  • Green Transport and Logistics
  • Smart Cities and Green Industry

    SETA 2017 is supported and co-organized by the Ministry of Energy of Thailand. "Thailand has been at the heart of leading implementation in energy efficiency and alternative energy development, especially for CO2 mitigation from different sectors, such as Transport and Logistics, Electricity and Power Generation, Industries, Residential, etc. And we actively share, discuss and contribute to the interactive discussion on the up-to-date issue, "Low Carbon", said Dr. Areepong Bhoocha-oom, Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Energy Thailand.
